It was rather dark and dank in the cave, water dripped and spooks lurked all over the place, from ground types to the rare dark ghost dwelling in the dark. You had lost the ability to use flash a long time ago, now you were simply wandering around, slightly afraid that you would never find your way out of this cave. Why did you even come here? Because your friends dared you to go find the legendary Pokemon residing here, however, it was nowhere to be found and you were completely lost. Something grabbed your wrist and you yelped in fear, you turn around to whomever is grabbing your wrist ready to strike them, but instead you see a boy illuminious, yet slightly mysterious as well. He talked quietly and lowly, but at least he was going to get you out of here. Who was he? Curly, messy blond hair. He wore a ruffled button down shirt and messy tie. He wore a baggy pair of black cargo pants, with a studded belt around his waist with Pokemon balls, he was a trainer you had no clue. His cargo pants were stuffed into some black combat boots, balloony at the edge of the boots. His dress sleeves were rolled up, how could he not be cold in here? He was thin and compact, short standing around 5'1" at most and appeared young. His eyes were a unique color of violet green with blue blended in, sparkling like jewels. He stopped and you looked up at him a little unsure of why he did, feeling embarassed as you saw his hand pointing to the exist.

His image would last in your memory and no one would believe you that you had seen a mysterious boy who was predicted to be the champion of the Kanto region. He had so much potential and disappeared. As you tried to convince yourself, fortune seemed to smile upon you. As you saw behind your friends, a boy similiar to the one you saw in the caves. But he was trying to be non chalant and cover himself up, with a red bamboo umbrella. And despite it being blasted hot in the summer, he wore a loose button jacket with shiny bead like buttons. But his clothes were all the same, except for the umbrella. The same curly blond hair. Though this time he had a Typholosion following him closely by. You tried to call out to him, but he didn't respond. Your friends tried to tell you not to call out to random strangers. The next best thing you had was to challenge him. He dropped his umbrella, he was the boy from the cave and he gave a sharp look with his eyes. As if warning you that challenge him was not a good idea.

Personality: Those whom do get the chance to speak and meat him, know how calm and collected he can be. He is a calculative thinker, always thinking cautiously before putting any plan into action. Often times he tries to deter people away from him, keeping his distant from them. They say that he is protecting a great power, but others don't think so. Despite his aloof confidence and mysterious atmosphere, he's actually deep down a little unsure about himself. Slightly timid himself he doesn't know how he fits in the world. He is seeking an inner strength inside of him and those whom speak to him know he is on some sort of personal journey for himself. His battle skills are to be feared, he can quickly adapt to the situation and change up when he needs to, but he is well known for brute force that can quickly destroy unready and young opponents. He has a lot of skill unshown, but many people fear him because of what he hasn't seen. Though he is well mannered, appears friendly to a point, and not easy to anger deep inside of him is a bitter numbness hiding inside. He often wants to do the right thing, but doesn't know how to. He struggles with the right and wrong decisions, but can be very perceptive in certain situations. He is intelligent, but is only as weak as his naivety of his inner self. He could be a stronger fighter if he could find a peace inside of him and if he knew who he was. But he also seems to be carrying a great burden other people do not understand. A burden he doesn't talk about very often, even to those whom get the rare oppurtunity to speak with him. Though he is aloof, mysterious, and very quiet he is loyal and honest. Sometimes when not thinking he can be to honest. It says he has a habit of going to Goldenrod from time to time to play the Slots there. There is also a rumor that he caused a scene about the slots being rigged. He likes lemon soda and can be seen sometimes buying rice cracker snacks. He often times doesn't understand humor, but makes the weirdest jokes that leave people a little weirded out.

Flame, Typholsion, Timid[Currently in party]- Spoiler:
Flame was not his first pokemon as some trainers may. Actually Flame came to him when he first entered the Johto region. Oak had asked him to send some information to Professor Elm. When Valeran arrived, he saw a distressed Elm after a Pokemon had been stolen and another had been taken by a young hero starting it's journey. The young Flame a Cyndaquil at the time, was lonely and shy and there was no other perspective owner for the Cyndaquil. Oak must have heard about Sunny and must have told Elm because when he saw Valeran he looked rather excited and asked him to take the Cyndaquil. Both Esper and Spook were cautious of their new member, but quickly taught him the ropes. It was that meeting between Valeran and Flame that made them complete insperable. They shared a connection like no other, and have become extremely close kin.
Esper, Espeon, Timid[Currently in Party]- Spoiler:
It was that fragile Evee he held in his arms next in the Kanto region. It had been left by it's owner whom saw no potential in a Pokemon like that. Shy and afraid of another human's touch, Valeran spoke to it and kept it close to him for it to understand. Him and his rag tag double team of Evee and Typholsion paid off for the first few gyms on the Kanto region. Years down the line blessed with joy and happiness in when they first enetered Johto, it blessed it's owner with the evolution into an Espeon, happy as day.
Spook, Gengar, Timid[Currently in Party]- Spoiler:
It was in Saffron city that Valeran met a Ghastly that liked to play tricks on passing humans whom walked into the grave. Though ghost were his natural repellant he found the Ghastly's antics humorous. They grew a friendship as Ghastly understood that this human was different unlike the rest. Not only did he understand it, it understood him, his darkness inside. They accepted a bond and became bound together by the wheels of fate.
Sunny, Venusuar [Deceased]It was Sunny who was his first Pokemon in the Kanto region. His starter Pokemon when he first started out and the one whom he shared great memories. The lost of Sunny was great sadness to both Gengar and himself. Sometimes he still remembers Sunny and keeps his empty Great Ball wtih him, labeled with Sunny's name. It's the whole in the team.
Wizard, Alakazam [Deceased]Wizard was quite the crafty one to catch, it was his first Abra, that he had ended up catching with a little more persuasion and coaxing than he did actual battling. Wizard was a great ally and assest to the team. His death was another great lost. It's the reason he will never forgive those Rockets.
Drowsy, Hypno [Deceased]It was Drowsy death that sent him down on his knees in tears of despair and sheer pain. He had lost Wizard just a while ago and now Hypno fell to the same fate as the others. Was he cursed because of his power. Why did fate kill those whom he loved the most.
Ace, Alakazam, Timid- Spoiler:
It was Goldenrod that had brought him and Ace together. The rigged slots, allowed him a shot at winning. He felt poorly that such a beautiful Abra was being used as some trinket as a winning prize. And he was going to bring him a new home. He was going to liberate the Abra whom was shy and nervous in it's surroundings. When Ace had first come into the party of course he was astrange to them. But he grew a close connection with them in time.
Shroud, Lugia, Impish[Currently not in Party, but is owned by him] - Spoiler:
This is his burden and his curse. Despite his devious and mischevious nature, Shroud has accepted and even respected Valeran as the one whom owns him. Both Valeran and Lugia combine destroy the fabric of reality, so he tends to hide him away still in those very caves that he hides in. Shroud and him seem the most connected, alongside Flame with the closest of the bond. Sometimes Valeran fears his natural comfort because it is almost like being reunited with his Sunny. There is a warmth that he hasn't felt in a long time. And he fears the death of this large and collossal creature. But he aslo fears the power within both of them. He now resides in hiding with Shroud knowing full well it's fear of destroying the human world above the surface. It currently has made home in the Great Ball and is allowed out in the cave. Shroud understands Valeran's pain and to repay Shroud back Valeran understands Shroud's. Originally he caught Shroud believing that he was the same as always and used it's great power to destroy the Gym leaders of the Johto, but realizing the power and the pain it brings he and Shroud hide deep within a cave.
Bully, Sharpedo, Jolly [Currently in Party]- Spoiler:
The sea always brings the strangest things from time to time. This little lost Carvanha came to them, unable to find it's family and a home. Thus Shroud and the others took care of it. Raising it. Now he's gotten a little to big to play with especially with the set of large teeth he has. His rather happy nature and his speed can end up in some of the strangest situations.
Clay, Claydol, Careful[Currently in Party]- Spoiler:
It's not like they don't get out. Lugia took him on a trip from the sea to the other islands. There they met the strangest Baltoy. Whom was intrigued by the energy they brought, but was rather careful. Maybe a bit to cautious. Knowing full well they were dangerous, but curious none of the less. Valeran talked to it, to ease it's fears. It kind of caught itself. One night while they were sound asleep it crawled into a Pokeball and it stayed with Valeran ever since.
History:
I can clearly say that I have adventured in my life, explored in my life. Seen all kinds of fantastical worlds. But my life wasn't always so fantastical. I was born with a gift and a curse. Abilities that most human beings could only imagine. It started off innocently I suppose, bending spoons isn't exactly natural, but it wasn't that bad until I started to feel what Pokemon were feeling. I could hear things other people couldn't. My mother always seemed afraid and would never allow me to talk about it. She never wanted me to speak about it again. I just grew up the weird kid who could speak plain old English to a Pokemon, feel when they were hurt or sad or happy. None of the other kids wanted to play with me for fear that I could posess them or curse them. I have learned plenty of painful lessons, but plenty of good lessons as well. I dearly miss those I have lost, but now I have a responsiblity to something I never fully thought through. Yet they kindly accept me. We just have fun and squat in a dank cave while people search for what I have captured to protect, eating grilled magikarp, laughing and adventuring. I forgotten about that world that hadn't accepted me.
