Whirl Island Remote Beach

The sound of waves crashing across rocks, with the sound of rushing whirlpools off in the distance created the perfect harmony and melody. I enjoyed the sound of the sea, so did Shroud and the others. Well not really Flame, he was rather afraid of the water and would not even get his own feet wet. Which is understandable in it's own right. I hoped from the sky he could see my red umbrella well, or else there would be no point in puttng it up. Alakazam and I had prepared for our guest, putting down the rice crackers snackst that we had to shelter from a hungry Typholsion and my homemade specialty grilled magikarp sandwiches.

It wasn't everyday someone knew who I was or even knew how to contact me. While the others played on the beach, Ace and I sat on a towel with the umbrella shading us from the baking sun. Flame stayed closer to a cave entrance trying to make sure the sea would not take him in and even Shroud appeared chipper to be out of that dank cave. Bully had found a way out of the cave and into the ocean, jumping in the air excitedly out of the water. I hope to god he didn't think our guest were food to eat, cause that would cause problems. The sun was suddenly blocked out by a shape in the sky. Looking up was a Hydregion, rearing in it's offensive nature. So this must have been my contact. I barely gave an appropriate wave for them to land. Maybe I should have chosen a better location because the beach was getting crowded with these newcomers.

"Yo," I said to my contact, "Grilled magikarp sandwich?"

Fushidara's Journey

As Sazandora and I neared the Whirl Islands, I looked back at Satoko and Mikona. Satoko seemed to stir while Mikona remained pale as ice. It was worrisome, watching out for these two. I'm not sure if I can keep it up as it is. I guess my only hope was for them to grow in Johto and become strong for themselves. When the time comes, I can't hold their hand and be there.

I neared the destination and felt the sea breeze pick up. The calm and gentle waves stirred as I approached. The waves began to pick up around the large landmass in front of me. We have arrived at the fabled Whirl Islands.

I began to scan around for a beach. The informant earlier described where to look as I took flight, but seeing now, I can't believe that there would be a calm and serene beach in the middle of this ocean of chaos. Suddenly, there it was. In the middle of the rushing whitewater, there was a bright red umbrella, blooming in the center of almost nowhere. Sazandora descended after he took sight of it.

As we landed, I took Satoko onto my back while Sazandora dumped Mikona onto the sand. The warm sun beat down on his face. I can start seeing some color seep back into him. His previously restless face calmed as his skin eased on the white sand. He's going to be okay. I look on to see my informant, relaxing on a lawn chair. If this were the first time I've seen or heard of him, I wouldn't have believed that this guy was living in a cave. With his Pokemon scattered across the beach, the lawn chair and umbrella, and his small beach barbeque with grilled Magikarp sandwiches. With Satoko on my back, I walked over to him. As I neared him, I took a quick whiff of him.

"Yup," I told myself while holding my breath. "He's the cave bum, alright."

"Yo," he said, "Grilled Magikarp sandwich?"

"Not right now. First of all," I bowed my head. "I'm Fushidara Saiki, current Elite Four member. We've met briefly before, but now I ask for your help. Can you get these two safely situated in the Johto region?"

I raised an eyebrow at my contact, he wanted me to help his friends. How was I suppose to do that? Just cause I had the equivalent of super powers didn't assure the safety of his friends. What assured the safety of his friends is if they didn't do something stupid. If they wanted to stay in Johto they shouldn't ask questions and shouldn't lead life through a blanket of curiosity. They should remain perfect ordered and justified meat puppets. But seeing how badly his friends were injured, he knew they were the type to get into trouble.

"You know I can't do that," I replied, "I can't assure anything. I can help, but if your friends are going to be stupid like how they got into this mess then I can't assure anything. It's all on them."

Naturally Flame would have never ventured into the deeper sand and so close to the water either, but despite being naturally shy and timid for his rather intimidating and aggressive appearance, he walked towards my contact and began to smell him.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"He's got a cookie on him," Flame said but to my contact it probably sounded the way a Typholsion would sound.

"Don't harass the man, we don't have time for that," I said.

"I can help, but if your friends are going to be stupid like how they got into this mess then I can't assure anything. It's all on them." he said.

And he was right. As far as I saw, Satoko was always getting herself into trouble. From way back, she got herself lost many times in the Trickmaster's house and often fell down into sand pits on the beach. Mikona, on the otherhand, was another story. The first time I met him he had a bruise on the back of his head. These two were gluttons for trouble and having them together would only incite more trouble. Still, I can't forbid my little sister from this journey. She desperately wanted to make her own memories and will probably refuse to go with anyone else but Mikona, her first friend in Kanto.

It was probably too much for me to ask him to help out. Still, there was one thing that only he can help with, though. I looked up to ask him, but instead found a Typhlosion sniffing at my pocket. Then I remembered the Lava Cookie in my pocket. I brought it here from Hoenn and completely forgot about it, leaving it inside the plastic wrap. The Typhlosion made a muffled roar to the informant. Strangely enough, the informant seemed to understand.

"Don't harass the man, we don't have time for that," the man said.

I placed my hand on the cookie in my pocket and spoke. "Well if it's the Lava Cookie you're looking for, I'd like two favors from you."

"Hng... where am I?" Returning to conciousness, I coughed a bit of blood and turned a blurred eye to the setting. Looks like... sand? And... the ocean? A beach, then... A strange, grainy sensation spread along the left side of my face. Rubbing it off, I saw that it was, indeed, sand. A dragonic grunt emitted next to me. Looks like sombody flew me here... but who?

Now looking up, I saw two men talking. One was Fushidara, who must have been the one who flew me. Another was a man with a Typhlosion, and they seemed to be talking. Might as well not interrupt. Rolling onto, which I assume to be Fushidaras, pokemons foot to support myself, I coughed a bit of blood to the side and straightened my shirt and pants up. My mouth shuddered at the thought of the experience with the Rocket scums, and I looked down, waiting for a sign for something to happen.

Satoko's Journey

My head was still pounding. It feels like it's been days since I opened my eyes. With my eyes half-opened, I tried to think back. What happened? What did I see before I blacked out? My thoughts trailed back to Route 2, with strangers in black uniforms. There was something else about that uniform. Tthere was another color. Red. Yeah, red. It was black and red. Well, the red wasn't all over the uniform. It was more in one place, the front of the uniform. I thought harder to remember. There was a curve, two lines...an R.

Team Rocket.

I shut my eyes tightly, praying for them to not be there. I opened my eyes slightly and the sun blinded me. Slowly, my eyes adjusted. I looked up. No forest in sight. Clear blue skies, crystal clear water, the white and untarnished sand stretching across this place. A beach? How in the world did we get here? Across the sand, I saw Mikona propped up against a Hydreigon. I recognized that Hydreigon somewhere. Where did I see it before? My mind was still fuzzy from the long rest. As I saw Mikona's deep auburn eyes, I sensed his curiosity. What would he be curious over? Was he looking at me? Not exactly, but close. I saw that my arms were draped around a man's neck. Well, not exactly a man. He's a bit younger than that. He's like Fushi's age. Wait...isn't this Fushi himself? What's he doing here? I finally made the connection between the Hydreigon I saw before and Fushi-nii. But did that mean that he flew us here? And why here? I peered over Fushi-nii's shoulder to find a mysterious man. He seemed way older, wiser, but a bit lonely. He seemed content with all of the Pokemon he seems to have around him, but to a point isolated from other people. Was that lonely? Are we okay with not seeing another person as long as we have Pokemon?

My thoughts were interrupted as Fushi-nii spoke.

"First, I'd like for you to allow these two to stay here for a day or two. In the condition Mikona and Satoko are in, they can't go head first anywhere quite yet. I'll leave a Pokemon to take them to New Bark Town when they're ready." he said. I looked back at Mikona and the stains of blood on him.

"Secondly, I'd like you to train Mikona one day. He's a psychic as well."

I looked at the informant and then his friend, I nearly busted out laughing. Was he going to as that much of me for a flame cookie? There was one thing I wasn't going to consider and that was babysitting. I had spent my life learning how to train and handle my own powers by myself with the aid of my pokemon. And he wanted me to do it with such a lackluster payment.

"No," I said, "I won't. You asked for me to intrigate them into the Johto region, which I'll do. But if you're asking that much more you're going to have to pay that much more too."

All though I wasn't the greedy sort, nor was I the type to deny people. I couldn't risk nor did I want to risk their company.

Fushidara's Journey

I started laughing myself. I knew that a simple cookie won't get me what I was asking for.

"Haha, well it was worth a try, eh? Well, to be serious, I mostly wanted to know where they can move from here in order to start their journey. I have another place to be soon and if you can't help them, then they'll need to start moving. But still, their current condition worries me so I pray that you have somewhere safe in mind." I said as I looked back Mikona, stained with blood.

"Still, my request still stands. I'd like you to teach Mikona how to use his psychic powers one day. Probably not today, probably not tomorrow. But one day, he'll need to be strong enough to face what's happening in Kanto and I'd like you to help him. I'll pay whatever the cost may be, granted that I can."

I stood there, hoping for his consent to help. I knew the risk of our presence here, especially after our narrow survival. But at the moment, Johto was a haven that won't last forever. I needed them to be ready when this haven falls into Hell and chaos.

Fushidara's Journey

As I finished talking to him, my pokegear rumbled. I looked to see the ID of the caller: "Safari Zone Warden".

"Sorry, now I'm really late, Reiji." I said as I climbed on Sazandora. I placed a pokeball on the sand. "I'm going to leave Wargle with Satoko. When they're ready, Wargle will fly to where I am."

As Sazandora took off, I shouted back to Reiji, "Consider this a favor to me! I'll return it as soon as I can!"

And into the sky I went.

*Andrew had been asleep for a few days in a small cave on the Whirl islands remote beach. He finally woke up as he recovered from a fever. He sighed as he looked around as he could not remember where his Poke balls are. He looked nervous but one of them was right next to him. He threw it up into the air and a baby squirtle came out. He frowned* Really? I'm stuck with this weakling?......Why do i even have him with me? And why can i not remember anything. This is too weird for me. All i know are my pokemon and their attacks but that's it. What happened and why did i lose my memories?

[Sorry, but I've been waiting for 2 months. I'll just say he took us to New Bark Town, and go from there.]

Satoko's Journey

He took off in a hurry again. He's always been busy, huh? I picked up the Pokeball in the sand. The bird stared back at me with eagerness and discomfort. I knew he wanted to return to Fushi-nii and we've been a bother as it is.

I walked up to the mysterious Island Psychic. I bowed my head as I spoke. "We're sorry for the inconvenience. We'll be leaving right away. Can you point us in the direction of New Bark Town?"

The man said nothing and pointed in generic direction Eastward. I wish he were more specific and verbal, but we may have annoyed him as it is.

"Thank you for your time." I said as I let out Wargle. He stretched his wings as if it's been ages since he's been let out. Immediately, he grabbed the unconscious Mikona and threw him onto his feathery back. Wargle looked to me. I climbed on and looked back at the man. Still not a single word from him. He didn't even look as we took off. His mind must've been on something else.
